My role: Planning consultant and agent.
The scheme: In association with a petrol filling station in Altrincham, Cheshire , this was a retrospective planning application for alterations and extensions to a shop front, with a corresponding advertisement application for the introduction of advertisements on that shop front.
The issues included the impact on the character of the conservation area, the setting of a Grade II Listed building and a non-designated heritage asset.
I provided evidence that the new scheme successfully preserved the character of the conservation area, the heritage asset and setting of the listed building.
The outcome: Retrospective planning and advertisement consents were granted on appeal (Written Representations).
