My role: Planning consultant and agent.
The scheme: This replacement dwelling in open Cheshire countryside involved an innovative contemporary design which utilised the topography of the land.
Based on my long experience I knew that the scheme had a strong chance of success, provided that the presentation was made in a way that clearly sold the virtues of the design to the local authority. In this case I worked very closely with my client’s architect and, as a result of this work, the planning officer was ‘excited’ to give her consent to the scheme.
The outcome: Planning permission was granted by Cheshire West and Chester Council.
